Oakland Truck and Equipment Sales, Inc. was organized and incorporated in the State of Michigan on September 30, 1976.
Oakland Truck and Equipment Sales, Inc. became a Peterbilt Motors Company franchised dealership in 1989 and elected to adopt the assumed name (d.b.a.) of "Reefer Peterbilt". This d.b.a. reflects the combination of the last name of our owner (Greg Reefer) and the trade name of our primary product (Peterbilt trucks). In November 0f 2002 we opened a second store under the d.b.a. of Reefer Peterbilt Metro.
Reefer Peterbilt is located in Auburn Hills, MI and Reefer Peterbilt Metro is located in Romulus, MI just North of the Detroit Metro Airport (hence the "Metro" part of the d.b.a.)
Our Business Purpose Is To:
- Sell new and used heavy-duty trucks
- Sell new and used trailers
- Sell truck and trailer parts & accessories for all truck and trailer makes
- Service all makes and models of trucks and trailers
Our principal marketing area is the southeast quadrant of the lower peninsula of Michigan. The company has approximately 1,700 customers varying in size from a single truck owner operation to very large fleets.
